D-6

D-6!!! To what?

D-6 to freedom. 6 more days before my exam finally ends. Studying for accountancy now and this is much more productive than studying for statistics.

Stumbled upon this quote on twitter and I really liked it so I am sharing it to all my viewers.

This is actually what I really want to do right now. I know I look like the kind to not read books but I actually do HAHAHHAH. I just read the book once and never read them ever again, that is why I don't buy books. It will be a waste of money for me to buy books. I usually borrow the books from my cousins. Coincidentally we have the same taste in books!!

Cannot wait to party like this sloth. By party I mean just doing what I like to do and it is everything but studying. I am considering to continue my piano classes but I really don't like classical music. Too bad every practical exam involves classical pieces.

By the way, today is National Waffle Day!!! Eat waffles and enjoy your day!! Really recommend Sunday Folks' ice-cream & waffles. 320 Below is good too, they have nutella ice-cream, which is to die for.

At Sunday Folks, you should definitely try the earl grey or strawberry ice-cream flavor. I personally prefer the earl grey one more than the other flavors on the menu.

As for 320 Below, they have earl grey too, but the earl grey flavor is not strong hence I wouldn't recommend it. I think when you're there, just eat the nutella flavored ice-cream!

Anyway, I should really go back to study. Buh-bye!

Exam Stress

Just ended my Microecons paper today. Felt like I did not do well. All those late night studying for Microecons seems to be useless and I kinda not have the mood to study for the other exams now. I just felt like everything is wasted, all those sleepless nights, those midnight oil that I had burnt are all wasted. To me, economics is not a tough subject, but I guess its because I had too little sleep, which affects the performance of my exam. So a note to all readers, if you are having an exam the next day, please sleep more to avoid the same thing happening to me, happen to you.

I think I am going to sleep earlier in future. I slept at 2am last night and woke up at 830am this morning. That is like 6 hours of sleep? Actually 6 hours doesn't sound too bad....... Anyway, I think this is going to be a really short blogpost, probably about all my rants for Microecons.

I actually got like 2 questions wrong, 1 of it was because I legit do not know how to do, but the other was pure CARELESSNESS. I read the question as a demand question instead of a supply question!!!! Like shit this seriously! I could have gotten that 2 marks and it might help me in getting my A.

As for the short-answered questions, there were a few questions that I do not know how to do. I thought about it for quite a while and eventually I did answer some correctly but some was definitely wrong. I basically just bullshit throughout the whole paper. If I can get an A for this Microecons paper I would definitely be extremely elated, but if I can't, I know its my fault and there is nothing else I can do about it so I should suck it up and do well for Macroecons in then future.

Should probably start on my revision for stats now, see you again soon.

The Hell Week

໒( •́ ∧ •̀ )७
Been a really stressful and tiring week for me. Finally the week has ended.

Had 2 presentation in a row. One on Wednesday and the other on Thursday. After the presentations, I have to study for my upcoming Marketing test on the following Monday. How stress is this?!

Currently studying for my marketing test but I got bored so I decided to blog about my whole week. Hahahahaha

I knew I was screwed for my marketing test because I had a tutorial on Thursday and when the lecturer was going through all the answers, I do not know a single shit. I kept flipping the notes in class to a point where I give up and just zone out.

But even after realizing that I need to prepare so much, I still went to watch a movie after school on that Thursday.

I went to Tampines's Golden Village to catch Attack on Titans the movie. I would say the movie was pretty good because I love the anime so much, however, the story-line in the movie was different from the anime and the protagonists in the movie do not look like the ones in the anime.

Armin, the male protagonist's best friend, had blonde hair in the anime, but in the movie, he had black hair and I often confuse myself with the protagonist, Eren, and him.

The picture above is a picture of Armin, Eren and Mikasa in the anime.

This is how Eren looks like in the movie. He still looks similar to the character.

This is how Armin looks like in the movie. I mean cosplay is a japanese culture. If they don't have the funds to do bleaching just for the movie then why don't they use a wig for Armin's character? :(

And last but not least, this is Mikasa! Role played by Kiko! She is so pretty and she doesn't look Japanese at all.

I love the movie so much though, Sasha, one of the supporting characters in the movie was doing archery and it looks super cool.

WOOOOOOO OMG this looks damn cool please. She be slaying left and right, up and down.

I think I sound like a crazy anime maniac right now but I assure you that I'm not. Attack on Titans is just really so good. Can't wait for season 2 to be release in 2016!

And I guess it is time for me to go back to reality and study for my marketing test tomorrow! Ciao.

Golden Jubilee

It is the time of the year!! 9 August is Singapore's national day. This year is the 50th year of independence for Singapore.

This day, every year, is not only very special to our fellow Singaporeans, but is especially special to me. This is because, it is not only Singapore's birthday, it is my dad's as well.

I am lucky to have a dad be born on the same day, same month and the same year as Singapore. My dad is basically Singapore's twin brother. I know i might sound shameless saying this but I am so proud and I secretly feel that my dad is special.

Actually everyone feels this way about their parents. Who am I kidding.

It was kind of a disappointment for me though. I mean like hey, my dad is a Singaporean and he is born on the same day as Singapore's independence day, don't we at least get a ticket to see the national day parade live?

I did not even get to see it live for once. I really wanted to go watch it but no one had a ticket. My whole family signed up for the lucky draw but none of us got it.

Dad actually had a birthday breakfast with the community club at Pasir Ris. I was secretly hoping the president of the cc had kept some ndp tickets for us and gave each family four tickets, But all they did there was eat a buffet and cut a huge long ass SG50 cakes.

The cake looked pretty simple though, but it looks good. Too bad I chose sleep over those and only both my parents went instead. It was organized for only those whose birthdays fall on the National Day.

Mom bought a cake for dad and its a national day cake. This is how it looks like.

Yeap, and this video right here is a video of the whole Pang family singing the happy birthday song too my dad with my little cousin being too overly-excited. I apologize if the video quality is bad. It was a video I took on snapchat and saved it just to upload.

Add my on snapchat at sharleeennn if you have one!

Oh yeah and the picture of the cake is also taken from my snapchat. Been a little tight on my memory space in my phone. Sigh, this is a disaster to teenagers who loves to take too many pictures and only decides to upload 1.

Went to Nex today before we cut the cake for my dad. I went to bought a tote bag at only $12.90, will upload a photo of it soon. I also bought a pencil case and a fish eye lens from the same store. The pencil case costs $6.90 and the fish eye lens costs $14.90 which comes with a micro lens and a macro lens as well.

Went to catch 'Fantastic Four' at the Shaw's theater as well. I would rate the movie a 10 actually. If i had watched the trailer I would probably not watch the show. Throughout half the show I thought I entered the wrong theater. I thought fantastic four was all about super powers.

Half the movie shows them building a teleportation machine. I just realized is teleportation not a word? Cuz it is highlighted in red zigzag underlines. Yeah and only till near the end do I realize oh yes I am in the right theater.

I even checked the ticket a few times to make sure I did not enter the wrong hall. The movie was overall boring. To me. I wouldn't know about others.

Oh yes and Sogurt is having their SG50 special flavor which is Milo flavored!! Who doesn't love milo flavored stuff. Whoever loves milo can head down to Sogurt right now! Who knows when this flavor stops selling. I do not know if they also have this flavor in other outlets but the outlet I went to was at Nex!

I am pretty tired tonight. It is like 3am right now and I am typing this.

Once again, Happy belated birthday to Singapore and Daddy!

HECTIC WEEK

August has been a pretty busy week for me. I went to buy birthday presents on the 1st of August and worked on my project on the 2nd of August.

It was a Sunday (2nd Aug) and I slept at 4am that night. And mind you, I have 9am classes at Singapore Poly. If you guys do not know yet, I live in Pasir Ris and it takes me about 1hr 30mins just to get to school. If classes starts at 9, I would have to wake up latest 7am to reach school on time.

Only had 3hrs of sleep that night. And the following night, a Monday night, I slept at 3am. I was doing my homework and going through my project report. Monday nights are usually very stressful because there is a lot to do on Tuesdays.

So then on Tuesday, I slept at 4am again to finalize the report along side with my group leader. The rest of the members went to bed at 3am cuz they couldn't handle it anymore.  My classes starts at 9am all the time except for Thursday.

I had a mini presentation for another module, then after school, I had a competition for the PACC module. It is sort of a supply and demand game and whoever earns the highest profit is the winner. Well obviously I didn't win any or I would have blogged about it. But anyway, after our competition, I had to head to the main library to carry on with my project. But I have not had anything yet so we went to put our bags down at the library then head to Food Court 3 for a meal.

There was a basketball match on the day itself as well. There were music blasting at FC3 because it is near to the basketball court. The music was catchy though, I kinda like it.

Sleep tends to affect my appetite. The lesser sleep I have, the lesser is my appetite. I could not even finish 2 prata on that day. I only had nutella waffle during break and that is all. But I enjoy my dinner because the atmosphere was good.

After dinner, we head back to the main library. In Singapore Poly, there are 2 library. One is the main library, another is the hilltop library. The hilltop library is for business students only while the main library is for every course except business.

Business students can go to the main library, its just that if they need any materials such as textbook, there is none at the main library. Vice versa for hilltop library.

My group consists of 6 people(group leader missing):

We divided ourselves. 2 check the report, 2 do the powerpoint slides, and the other 2 will focus on the prototype. I was the one doing the powerpoint. However, our report was not done hence my partner and I had to look through the report as well.

From previous experiences, I have come to realize that a few people is needed to check for it to be 100% perfect.

By perfect I mean consistent words such as 'ice-cream' and 'ice cream', 'flavours' and 'flavors'. Different people write it differently. If you all do not know yet, ice-cream is one word hence the hyphen is VERY MUCH NEEDED. I can't stand it if a report is full of vocabulary/grammar errors.

I am not trying to say that my vocab or grammar is exceptionally good, but all these simple stuff should be corrected to show our sincerity. If we just leave it as that, people will think that it is a slip-shot work or that we do not even put in the effort because we didn't check it a few times.

I know I definitely did tell my group mates how we are going to write our 'ice-cream' and 'flavors' but yet there are still some people choose to spell it differently. But it is ok, since we are going to check it all again when the report is done.

But then something screwed up and the report wasn't 100% the one we wanted our lecturer to see. Super annoyed right now.

But what's done is done and I can't rewind time so all I can do is hope for the best.

Stayed back in school till 1030pm on Wednesday night just to finish up and print the report. Reached home around 12am and had to wash up before our skype session for final presentation rehearsal. Did this until 230am then all of us went to sleep. Big Day tomorrow.

So here comes the LONG AWAITED PRESENTATION DAY.

It is a Thursday, so 8am class. Wasn't late this time but apparently many of my classmates are so my lecturer got really mad. Like who wouldn't? Duh.

It is a big day for everyone like me yet there are people who are late as shit. If this was a job interview, the job would definitely not go to them already.

Well, the presentation went well for my group till the Q&A part. I sort of screw it up by saying that the tingkat company caters to old people when my target market are the teenagers and young adults.

But anyway my group of efficient people managed to salvage it and yay!

I can only hope for the best. I hope that sentence would not affect me or my group. The presenting part is sort of okay? I think I was a bit monotonous again sigh, but I did had eye contact right?

Idk, anyway it is all over for that module but I have another one coming right up. It is the coming Wednesday.

Life of a Poly student, specifically, a business student.

Shopping for presents

Went out to Vivo City this evening to get a birthday present for my dad and cousin.

Bought a shirt for my dad at Armani Exchange which costs $40 after discount. Original price was $100 SDG. How can a cotton shirt cost this expensive? Oh well, present for my dad who is 50 years old this year can't be that cheap can it? Dad's birthday is next Sunday, 9th of August which is Singapore's national day! I am secretly proud to have a dad with the same age, year and date as my country. I feel that my dad is somehow special and l indeed he is, in my heart.

Purchased a H&M give card for my cousin too, which I do not have a picture of.

Bought this ice-cream while on the way to Sentosa at the Sentosa Boardwalk. It is a Taiwanese ice-cream and it is really good. However it is a little troublesome to eat when the ice-cream is about to reach the cup. There is actually a cone which is kinda hard to take out from the casing and the cone is really soft, not crispy at all, what a disappointment.

Went to Hardrock Cafe for dinner. Had a pulled pork burger, Mac & Cheese with chicken and Air Mexico (3 Margaritas with Nachos & Salsa sauce)

The margarita was so good I actually drank 2 of the cups. The blue one and the pinkish one.

Had a great time taking ootds after that. Which I do not have a photo of it too because it is not in my phone.

Anyways, have a blessed day ahead and enjoy your holidays!
